PetFind USA™ launched its "Lost Pet Locator Program" to quickly get the word out about lost pets. Using state-of-the-art database management systems, PetFind USA™ provides the tools to help reunite pet owners with lost furry friends.

"Losing your pet is a very traumatic experience," says Linda Benum-Pond, program founder. "As pet lovers, we have developed a targeted program that puts a pet’s picture into the hands of hundreds of people very quickly. We applied the same technology that is used to market businesses to provide pet owners with positive steps they can take to recover their lost pet."

Benum-Pond owns BP&P Marketing, a database management firm that helps companies develop customer databases and mailing lists for targeted direct mail and customer loyalty programs. The idea for PetFind USA™ originated when a family member lost a pet.

"My sister was visiting from Dallas and she was saddened by recently losing her Maine Coon cat. She went to the post office for a list of addresses in the area so she could contact neighbors about her cat, and they couldn’t provide it," said Benum-Pond. "You can only knock on so many doors and post posters near well-traveled areas. But imagine being able to quickly send all your neighbors information and a photograph of your pet!"

Benum-Pond believes getting the word out to as many people as possible is key to finding a pet quickly. As list brokers, PetFind USA™ generates lists of homes within a one- to two-mile radius in any U.S. city and will deliver pre-addressed post cards with a pet description and photograph, ready to stamp and mail, to the pet owner within 48 hours.

"The cost of losing a loved pet is measured by more than dollars," said Benum-Pond. "The PetFind USA™ "Lost Pet Locator Program" provides pet owners with positive steps to take that may increase the chances of recovering a lost pet."
